Standard-compliant in accordance with EN 1010-3: The SOLID-4cutter Safety Light Curtain

Leuze: The blade and paper-holding components in cutting machines are danger points that must be reliably guarded to protect the operator. A good solution to protect the operator from injuries when working on the machine is provided by the SOLID-4cutter, a type 4 Safety Light Curtain in accordance with IEC/EN 61496 that complies with the specifications of EN 1010-3. This standard specifies the criteria that a Safety Light Curtain must meet when used on cutting machines.

The SOLID-4cutter Safety Light Curtains feature various mounting plates, electrical connection options and different housing colors. They can therefore be very easily integrated into new cutting systems and are exceptionally useful in upgrading older cutting systems.

SOLID-4cutter Safety Light Curtains are also available as devices with no housing, i.e. as a ready-made integration set. These can be easily fitted by the machine manufacturer into their specific housing designs in accordance with the specifications of EN 1010-3. The machine is therefore optically and structurally “one unit”. The connection with M12 plug connectors and the compact construction make the integration even easier.
