Inertial Labs announces the release of the new high-precision three-axis accelerometers (TAA) in a stand-alone design

01 December 2023

The Inertial Labs MEMS TAA-308, TAA-315, and TAA-340 are revolutionary, compact, self-contained, strap-down, Navigation-grade Accelerometers that measure linear accelerations with high precision due to their unique design and developed by Inertial Labs over the last twenty years of significant knowledge and techniques in calibrations of inertial sensors. Measured by TAA Accelerometers, accelerations are determined with low noise and excellent repeatability for both motionless and dynamic applications.

The Inertial Labs TAA-308, TAA-315, and TAA-340 are advanced integrated inertial sensors leveraging the latest MEMS sensor technology. Capable of measuring accelerations within ranges of ±8g, ±15g, and ±40g, these accelerometers are thoroughly calibrated and temperature compensated. They are mathematically aligned to an orthogonal coordinate system, ensuring precision. The TAA accelerometer series boasts a Bias in-run stability as low as 0.005 mg at a ±8g dynamic range, characterized by minimal noise and high reliability. The Inertial Labs TAA Accelerometers are highly user-friendly and suitable for diverse advanced integrated system applications, featuring Continuous Built-in Test (BIT), adaptable communication protocols, and versatile power input options. These state-of-the-art accelerometers are specifically engineered to enhance the performance and reliability of various applications. Critical applications include autonomous vehicles, ensuring precision in navigation and control, and antenna and line of sight pointing systems, where accuracy is paramount. They are also ideal for passenger trains, providing critical data for acceleration, deceleration, and jerking systems. In the marine and subsea domains, these accelerometers significantly improve the capabilities of Motion Reference Units (MRU) and Motion Control Sensors (MCS). Furthermore, they are vital in stabilizing and orienting gimbals EOC/IR platforms. Integrating these accelerometers in GPS-Aided Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), Attitude and Heading Reference Systems (AHRS), and various guidance and navigation systems marks a significant advancement in navigational technology. Additionally, they are indispensable in enhancing the navigation and control of UAVs, AUVs, and ROVs.

"The TAA Accelerometer models represent a significant leap forward in navigational and motion sensing technology. They are a testament to our commitment to precision, reliability, and advancement in the field of inertial sensors.  Our focus remains steadfast on providing solutions that are not just cutting-edge but also practical and transformative for industries worldwide.” said Jamie Marraccini, President and CEO of Inertial Labs.
