Nano meets Sensoric

OPTOcon AG: Fiberoptical temperature sensors manufactured by different suppliers are usually equiped with especially prepared fiberendfaces. At these fiberendfaces small Fabry Perrot Cavities, GaAs Chips or Bragg-Lattice are placed.

All these versions are complex in manufacturing and highly mechanical sensitive.

This will be now history:
The OPTOconAG is in the position to provide fiberoptical temperature sensor as a Nanopowder-Version. Nanoscaled GaAs-Powder mixed with adhesives, replaces the comon GaAs-Chip. Due to the light scattering of the particles the optical response is similar to the one with the GaAs-Chip.

Advantage:
Much more stable mechanical sensors, combined with the well known advantages of the fiberoptical temperature measurement in microwave and high frequency applications, strong electromagnetic fields, MR magnetic resonance imaging, high voltage fields and everywhere where uses of electrical temperature sensors are not applicable. The sensors can also be prepared with our NANO-KIT in a few steps by yourself. All needed tools and materials are included. In addition, the procedure is explained in a well-illustrated guide, so that everyone is able to prepare a sensor.
