Rotary sensor for heavy-duty applications

With the high-end version of the contactless Vert-X 28 rotary sensor, Contelec is launching an angle sensor created for demanding heavy-duty (HD) applications. Mounted in a sealed aluminium body, the compact Vert-X 28HD rotary sensor is specified with ingress protection IP69K and is highly resistant to extreme environmental conditions.

Whether subjected to salt, water, sand, vibration, heat or cold – the absolutemeasuring magnetic rotary sensor is “unshakeable” – in the truest sense of the word. It is suitable for mobile applications, including on buses, trams and municipal vehicles, and in fixed, stationary systems, such as in sawmills and stone crushers.

With a diameter of just 28 mm, the extremely compact Vert-X 28HD rotary sensor boasts other impressive specifications, including 12-14-bit resolution, ±0.1% linearity, 0.1° repeatability and the possibility f or the user to independently program different output characteristics. User-programmable switching functions can also be integrated. A further possibility is the connection of a wide range of currently conceivable analogue and digital interfaces and transfer protocols.
