Acuity laser rangefinder – AccuRange™ 4000

The AccuRange 4000 laser rangefinders are Acuity's fastest distance measuring tool for measuring up to 16.5 meters. The sensor uses time-of-flight measuring principles. Non-contact measurement is made simple with the three models within the AR4000 rangefinder series that have different laser diodes. All models are compact and durable in IP67 enclosures for challenging industrial environments.

The AR4000 laser rangefinder is designed for high-speed applications. While its standard frequency response is 770 Hz, the sensor achieves sampling speeds of 200 KHz with the use of Acuity’s external high-speed interface cards. With such rapid data collection rates, the laser rangefinder is ideal for high-speed profiling and ballistics applications.

This Acuity sensor model is completely unique with a concentric design whereby the emitted laser and the collection paths are in the same line. This allows user’s to measure through small port holes, down long tubes or in conjunction with a mirror. When equipped with optional bandpass filters, the AR4000 laser rangefinder performs well outdoors in bright sunlight.
