For the particularities of digital shaft copying: Multiturn encoders with CANopen Lift protocol

Multiturn absolute encoder GXP5W in solid shaft desigh with clamping or synchro flange supports CANopen Lift.

Encoders GXP5W especially developed for the requirements of shaft copying merge all experience and expertise gathered by Baumer in two decades. The outcome: Reliability, easy installation and manifold interface options. Moreover, multiturn absolute encoders GXP5W  support the CANopen Lift application profile (CiA DSP 417). These encoders operate on precise optical sensing with an accuracy of 0.025° and   29-bit resolution. 13 bits respectively 8192 steps per turn are required for the angular information, whereas 16 bit are used for max. 65536 turns. Integrated diagnostics is permanently verifying the code consistency and indicates activity by the two-color LED integrated at the housing rear. The robust encoders come  with clamping or synchro flange and provide IP65 protection with shaft seal. Corrosion-resistant designs are available as an option. A bearing flange offered as an accessory will increase radial shaft load capability to 250 N.
