New temperature SAW evaluation kit from SENSeOR

SENSeOR’s SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) sensors measure temperature, strain and pressure wirelessly and without any energy source, with radio-frequency interrogation similar to radar.

For instance, placed inside engines or rotating industrial equipment, they perform real-time continuous temperature monitoring, even on moving parts, thus controlling temperature during operation and preventing from overheating failures.

For technology reliability testing and evaluation of the unmatched features of these sensors, SENSeOR proposes a new evaluation kit, affordable to everyone.

This new kit EVALKIT T02 is composed of the new ultra-compact WR E010 transceiver and one TSA F151 wireless temperature sensor with modular fixation options.

Wireless and totally passive (no battery, no energy harvesting), this sensor can be mounted on the surface to be measured with two screws, glued or clamped. Its measuring temperature range is -15°C to +165°C.

EVALKIT T02 is a comprehensive package, easy to install (the transceiver is powered by user’s computer USB port) and easy to use (output read-out on graphic user interface delivered with the kit). It allows “tabletop” testing and its components are reusable in a real application if specifications and environment are compatible.

This new kit was successfully released at the latest SENSOR+TEST show (7th to 9th June 2011, Nurnberg, Germany).
