The successful SONOCHECK product line plays a key role for SONOTEC at this year's Compamed trade show presence, taking place from 12 to 15 November 2018 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The German-based company presents a selection of sensors that meet the tightened regulatory EMC requirements of the IEC 60601-1-2 standard (4th edition). Those sensors are ready to be integrated into the latest generation of medical technology products. During the process of continued product development, the engineers put emphasis on keeping the proven and exclusive safety concept with active cyclical self-tests, fail-safe architecture and redundant sensor design, respectively.
Nonetheless, it is not only about its safety architecture what makes the SONOCHECK series a top league sensor system. Additional features such as the compact design with integrated electronics board, the clamp-on system for non-invasive measurement and microbubble detection turn the instrument to become a real multi talent. Over a long period of successfully implemented projects, SONOTEC has gained an excellent reputation among manufacturers of dialysis and transfusion devices, heart-lung machines, blood separators, medical pumps and diagnostic systems. Next to the products of the SONOCHECK family, the ultrasound specialist will be exhibiting non-invasive sensors of the SONFLOW CO.55 V2.0 series. The sensors are made of different materials (e.g. aluminum, stainless steel, plastics), are applicable for a wide range of tubing types, diameters and materials such as PVC, silicone, PFA or PTFE and are simply clamped on the tube with the flowing medium. In this way the fluid could not been contaminated by the sensor housing. The sensor, in turn, has not to be sterilized. Therefore, the SONOFLOW sensors are especially suited for applications with strict hygienic requirements.
In addition to the approved features – like fast measurement of pulsating and bi-directional flow rates – SONOTEC has developed a range of combined flow bubble sensors that exhibit excellent properties for high-precision flow measurement as well as the parallel classification of air bubbles. The installation of these compact and flexible clamp-on-solutions is fairly easy: The liquid-filled tube need to be simply inserted into the device.
