
Reliable software in the event of an alarm
If thresholds are exceeded, immediate action is required. For example, if a temperature-sensitive material overheats, causing it to become damaged or even unusable. Or if a machine is subjected to excessive mechanical stress. In the worst-case scenario, this can lead to a complete production shutdown and enormous repair costs. But it doesn’t have to come to that.
The key to solving this problem lies in the precise measurement and monitoring of all processes and the use of an alarm function. This allows countermeasures to be taken immediately in the event of an alarm - even automatically, if necessary. In industrial manufacturing, in the laboratory or during research and development testing, this process plays a crucial role in protecting materials and machinery from overload and ensuring product safety.
A combination of ALMEMO® measurement technology and the innovative WinControl software provides the perfect foundation for these monitoring processes. A single ALMEMO® data logger can simultaneously record numerous measurement parameters, which are then easily analyzed within the software.
The software is continuously being developed and, in addition to many other modules, offers a monitoring function that allows alarm handling to be activated individually for each measurement point. The cause and duration of triggering events are documented in an event list or a line graph. Alarm messages are displayed visually and/or audibly as needed and can then be acknowledged individually or collectively. However, to ensure that the messages are not forgotten after confirmation, reminders are sent repeatedly until the cause is resolved. In the event of an alarm, emails can be sent, ALMEMO® output relays can be activated and programs or scripts can be executed. Additionally, the messages can be forwarded via a network.
As a result, the WinControl software ensures reliable monitoring of all ALMEMO® measurement tasks. Its user-friendly interface makes it easy to program and operate ALMEMO® devices. The system can be flexibly adapted to any project.
