“Adaptable laser sensors with teach function”

For tasks in measurement machine builders, measurement technicians and R&D engineers require laser displacement sensors with adaptable ranges at highest resolution , high frequencies, all adaptable interfaces – at an economical price.

With the newly designed displacement sensor LDS 72 from ELTROTEC Sensor GmbH the above requirements will be perfectly met. 7 ranges from 5 to 250 mm for all technical surfaces, 3 ranges from 5 to 20 mm for distance measurement on glass surfaces will be available with resolutions starting at 0,6 μm. Adjustable frequencies from 1500 Hz to 375 Hz as well as RS 422/115,2 Kbaud, 4-20 mA and 1-5 VDC interfaces are available.

For each range the beginning and end of the measuring range can be teached. This teached measurement range will be adjusted to the full analogue output at full resolution so that the full analogue output is always available – the latest development in this range. The 250 mm range is for high-vibration applications available in 20 g protection class – an advantage whenever high accelerations of large weights are to be measured.

Furthermore non-defined measurement results can be filtered by median and averaging procedures. If you want to measure direct thickness of materials, a sensor controller for two sensors is available, showing direct thickness and switching outputs for too thick, not in the level, or too thin. The signal comes in analogue, digital PNP/NPN or RS 422. A great advantage for machine builders and retro-fitting to get better efficiency values of the production goods.
