Jewell MEMS Accelerometer Nominated for i-NOVO Award
Jewell Instruments: The JMA-165 accelerometer series has been nominated for the i-NOVO Design Award, presented by Direct Industry. The award recognizes unique products that integrate current design trends, are visually different and demonstrate exceptional attention to ergonomics or propose an innovative solution for an emerging need.
Voting for the i-NOVO design award will start on April 25, the week of Hannover Messe 2016, and can be done on the i-NOVO website. The winner will be announced on May 6.
The JMA-165 series is the latest addition to Jewell’s RailStar and MEMS product lines. This is the industry’s first MEMS sensor to meet CENELEC/AREMA requirements for rail transportation.
This is a cost-effective and viable alternative to traditional precision sensors for rail applications. It has +/-0.5 G and +/-1 G measuring ranges with a built-in heater available for reduced thermal drift. To suit environmental standards, the series is RoHs compliant.
The JMA-165 series is vital for providing feedback on the performance and control of passenger trains. Use it for automated train controls, acceleration/deceleration control, rail maintenance and testing and train performance and testing.
