Ideal for service applications: espressoDAQ with USB measurement technology

HBM: Service applications in particular are dependent on the right measurement equipment. It must be easy to transport, simple to install and also rapidly deliver measurement results that can be relied upon.

The new measuring amplifiers in the HBM espressoDAQ series are the ideal tools for such service applications.

These light amplifiers in pocket format, which are simply supplied with power via the USB interface of a laptop, will always find a place in your hand luggage. The espressoDAQ modules work with the "plug & measure" principle so that the service technician can rapidly obtain useful measurement results.

This is also supported by various adapter cables and the RJ45 connector for transducer connection, which can be produced directly on site. In addition, the measuring amplifiers support TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet), enabling automatic recognition and configuration of appropriate transducers.

Despite their inexpensive price, these modules developed by the metrology technology specialist HBM offer the usual high quality and performance capability. For instance, the carrier frequency technology and A/D converter with a resolution of 24 bit ensure reliable measurement results.

In addition to individually configurable current or voltage inputs, measurement using strain gauges (SG) is also possible - both in half or full bridge circuits - as is the connection of all types of thermocouples. Depending on the espressoDAQ module type, either four or eight channels can be measured synchronously.

The modules are supplied together with a simple to operate software, specially tailored to espressoDAQ, for configuration, data acquisition and visualization. The service technician therefore requires just a few steps to obtain a measurement result. The measurement values of different channels can also be added together to obtain the resulting parameters. Export of measured data in the most current formats is just as easy as the creation of reports in a preformulated layout.
