RIFTEK:We present three new modifications of 2D sensors designed to solve specific laser scanning problems.

Project #1. 2D Laser profilers for Conveyor Belt Rip Detection Systems.

Monitoring the integrity of the conveyor belt surface is one of the most important tasks in the mining industry. A solution is 3D laser scanning of the surface to detect critical defects that lead to belt rupture. Specific requirements for scanners are high speed, at least 4000 Hz, and a resolution of at least 0.5 mm. A distinctive feature of the proposed modification RF629.IR4-265/700-274/700 of the standard scanner is the use of a high-power 4 W IR laser, which made it possible to achieve the required scanning frequency. A system including 7 such scanners which control both surfaces of the belt was developed and successfully implemented by our partner at one of the gold mining enterprises.

Project #2. 2D Laser profilers for hot objects profile measurements and surface defects detection.

Modification RF629-375/330-175/270-AC-WC. The scanner is designed to control geometric parameters and surface defects of hot railway rails during their production. Distinctive features of the scanner: water cooling of the case; windows blocking thermal IR radiation; speed of at least 10000 profiles/s. The measurement system developed by our partner includes 12 scanners with blue and red lasers, which are installed around the rail moving along the conveyor.

Project #3. Compact 2D Laser profiler for monitoring the profile of internal surfaces.

Modification RF627Smart-2/10-8/11-ID. The scanner is designed to control the geometric parameters of holes (diameter, shape, thread, surface defects). A distinctive feature is a compact round body with a diameter of only 45 mm, which allows scanning holes with an internal diameter from 49 mm. A 3D model of the internal thread of a petroleum pipe obtained by this scanner is shown below.
