Transfer measurement data securely via Bluetooth

When transmitting measurement data wirelessly, it must be ensured that the values recorded by the sensor arrive at the peripheral devices via the measuring device without interference. By using Bluetooth wireless technology version 4.2, the ALMEMO® measurement technology reliably transmits the measured values. The used frequency hopping method offers high robustness against interferences and coexisting WLAN networks. The Bluetooth partners constantly switch between the available radio channels, with any number of Bluetooth connections working reliably in parallel. Once configured, the connections are automatically (re)established when the device is switched on or when a connection is broken. If the Bluetooth connection to the PC is interrupted, the USB COM interface for the WinControl measuring software is retained. This results in high transmission reliability even for continuous monitoring. On the ALMEMO® Bluetooth module there are control indicators for power supply and status via LEDs. The modules can be used for a direct connection from the ALMEMO® measuring device to the PC and as a connection between several measuring devices.
