New texense® IRDLF-V90-800 digital infrared temperature sensor “Fire Detector”

Texys International, French leader in high performance embedded testing sensors, is proud to release its new digital infrared sensor dedicated to fire detection, texense® IRDLF-V90-800 “Fire Detector”.

Based on the photodiode technology, texense® IRDLF “Fire Detector” offers both fast response time (< 5ms) and capabilities to measure temperature on low emissivity materials as well as on hydrocarbons fires.

With a measuring temperature range from +50°C to +800°c, texense® IRDLF “Fire Detector” delivers a 0-5 V linear output signal with a resolution of 6mV/°C.

Offering a very compact design (33x16x11mm aluminum housing) texense® IRDLF-V90-800 is very easy to install.

Texense® IRDLF-V90-800 has been successfully used in Formula 1 ™ for engine air box fire detection. Thanks to its fast response time texense® IRDLF “Fire Detector” gives in real time an analog signal corresponding to the read temperature in the air box to the E.C.U. Then the E.C.U. may quickly anticipate the air/fuel mixture ignition in briefly stopping the fuel injection and keeping the engine from stalling.

Texense® IRDLF “Fire Detector” is the contactless fire temperature measurement and fast detection solution for many special purposes: fuel or oil fire detection, engine fire detection, fire detection on refueling systems, etc.
