Sensors for everything and everywhere

Leuze electronic is currently pursuing its strategy of offering standard sensors for nearly any application at an unbeatable price-performance ratio. Three new series are proof that this is working.

Due to increasing pricing pressure, users are looking more and more for sensors which have been optimized for simple detection tasks but also function reliably in challenging application areas. At the same time, manufacturers must consider different international requirements concerning technical data as well as connection and installation options. Based on these conditions, Leuze electronic is launching three new standard series with a particular emphasis on reliability and perfor-mance reserve. Each consists of throughbeam and retro-reflective photoelectric sensors as well as light scanners: series 5 has a cubic design, series 318B is cylindrical and series 28 is the perfect combination of the cubic form with cylindrical fastening options. The sensors in protection class IP 67 have warp-resistant plastic housings which remain functionally stable even with high tightening torque. Every model is available with an M8 or M12 connector or with connection cab-le and can be used anywhere thanks to the large temperature range of -40 °C to +60 °C. The adaptation of the detection range of the light scanners via teach button was particularly clever: depending on the application, two distance levels which are signalized by highly visible LED blinking can be taught either on the object or on the background.
