Magnetic sensor MSK5000R in thread design M10 and M12

Magnetic sensor MSK5000R in thread design M10 and M12

16 October 2010

SIKO: The sensor type MSK5000R from the product line MagLine Basic is expanding the known product portfolio of compact sensors with the housing designs M10 and M12. The contactless measuring magnetic sensor with integrated evaluation electronics has a digital signal outlet.

Thanks to the new, modified design, applications can be run for which the previous design was a disadvantage, e.g., rotating measurements with magnetic rings and in cramped installation conditions.

In connection with the magnetic tape MB500, the sensor provides square signals with resolution up to a max. 5 µm, achieves repetition accuracy of +/- 5 µm and works as an open system. Push Pull (PP) and Line Driver (LD) are available as output signals. In general, the compact sensor MSK5000R has a periodic index signal, which is output every 5 mm.

OVERVIEW OF ADVANTAGES AND FEATURES

  • Stainless steel housing
  • High protection category
  • Insensitive to dust, cuttings and humidity
  • Reading distance of sensor/magnetic tape max. 2.0 mm
  • Resolution max. 5 μm
  • Signal output proportional to speed
