Electromechanical NC joining module NCFT even for extremely small joining forces

Electromechanical NC joining module NCFT even for extremely small joining forces

19 October 2008

When assembling small and miniature components such as small bearings in housings or delicate gears in miniature gearing, a crucial factor is dynamic operation with very exact positioning and extremely high repeatability levels despite extremely small joining forces. The new electromechanical NC joining module NCFT Type 2157A... with the proven Kistler system design and integrated force-displacement monitoring combines joining movement and quality control in one operation.

With integral piezoelectric force sensor technology and a nominal joining force of 1 kN, the new NC joining module is suitable for both automated precision mechanical manufacture and also single workplaces requiring high dynamics and sensitivity, and at the same time very compact size. With the extremely high repeatability level of 0,005 mm and a speed of up to 300 mm/s, it is designed for the highest precision with fast cycles and short return strokes. Its small size makes it possible to condense neighboring stations on the assembly line.

The measuring ranges of 0,25 kN, 0,5 kN and 1 kN meet even the highest requirements, for example in industrial clock manufacture. The powerful and flexible force-displacement monitoring system DMF-P A300 NCF Type 4734A... displays the force curve graphically and freely programmable analysis windows make it possible to continuously evaluate all phases of an assembly process.

The new NCFT joining module enhances the range of Kistler NC joining systems. Four Type series in various sizes with different nominal joining forces now cover the complete measuring range from 0,25 up to 300 kN. They are not only available as system components but also, in some cases, as complete manual workstations for development, prototyping or small batch production.
