SIKO MagLine Absolute Sensors

Always know where you stand!

SIKO GmbH: With MagLine Absolute technology you can have precise positioning information even with the power off. A homing function is thus completely unnecessary. The position values can be read using standard SSI or RS485 interfaces. You also have the option of connecting with Profi-bus, Inter-bus or Can-bus, thus allowing up to 31 devices to be connected together.

SIKO’s products offer a range of absolute sensors with different accuracy levels and resolutions.

The MSA111C is especially for use in highly dynamic applications in direct drive technology. Here, the MSA111C scores well not only because of its high absolute accuracy of +/- 10 microns, but also because of its analogue real-time channel (1 Volt S / S), which ensures a highly dynamic response.

The accuracy range of +/- 30 microns of the MSA501 has a wide range of applications in mechanical engineering, the wood industry, eg in joinery, as well as in medical technology (CT scanners). This sensor offers an optional AP-interface to detect the position values in real time. The maximum measuring length of over 10 metres and its ease of installation due to its large sensor-/semiconductor band gap of 1.3 mm are further plus points of the MSA501.

The MSA1000’s maximum measuring length of 163 m and accuracy of +/- 1 mm make it ideal for storage and handling applications that require measurement of very large dimensions.

The ASA product line provides practical and cost effective solutions for rotary applications (eg for angle measurement or feedback from torque motors, etc.). The small sensor heads provide effective measurement in the rotating area, while the built-in evaluation unit through its integrated back-up battery, enables processing of the sensor signal, even when the power is off.
