SENSeOR launches high-end miniature wireless passive sensors

14 May 2013

SENSeOR launched at SENSOR+TEST new wireless passive SAW temperature sensors featuring enhanced accuracy, in packaging of 2 different sizes 5x5 mm and 9.8x3 mm

Sophia-Antipolis, France – May 2013 – 4 new references of SAW temperature sensors were presented at SENSOR+TEST by SENSeOR in Germany (Nurnberg – May 14th to 16th). Like other SAW sensors of SENSeOR’s portfolio, these sensors are wireless and totally passive, they thus feature infinite autonomy and can be installed on moving or rotating equipment for continuous, real-time, remote monitoring. Their unique-patented differential structure makes them the most stable devices on the market. The new chips presented also feature enhanced accuracy (+/-0.5°C) on temperature ranges from -40°C to +165°C. Available in ceramic packaging of 2 different sizes (5x5 mm and 9.8x3 mm), they can be mounted in small probes for inner temperature control or in compact fixture with integrated antenna for surface temperature.

Product information:
TSE G043, 5x5 mm ceramic package, -10°C to 50°C, ISM band
TSE G044, 5x5 mm ceramic package, -40°C to 50°C
TSE F143, 9.8x3 mm ceramic package, 0° to 165°C
TSE G144, 5x5 mm ceramic package, 0°C to 165°C
Accuracy (all references): +/-0,5°C
Temperature resolution (all references): +/-0,1°C

About SENSeOR

SENSeOR exploits Surface Acoustic Waves (SAW) to conceive unique, patented wireless passive sensors for temperature, pressure, strain and torque measurements. With infinite autonomy and no maintenance required, these sensors perform enhanced condition monitoring at the heart of the equipment in Automation, Energy, Appliances, Transportation – even in motion and rotation – like inside engines, in tunnel ovens or on moving belts, in electrical equipment. Created in 2006, SENSeOR is headquartered in Sophia-Antipolis (France) with offices in Besançon (France) and Freiburg (Germany), and employs 17 people. SENSeOR is part of WIKA Group since 2012. Its expert engineer team provides field engineering services and customized developments in addition to standard sensor portfolio, to help its customers solve their measurement challenges.
