MEGATRON's finger and thumb joysticks enable precise and reliable control of multi-axis applications. Thanks to their compact design, the joysticks can be easily integrated into the application. They are used in industrial and service robots as well as in TV channel inspection systems, gantry systems and CNC machines.
Although multi-axis applications are usually fully automatic, they must be manually controllable in an emergency or during setup. Joysticks are best suited to this task as they provide good haptic feedback and are robust yet compact. MEGATRON has been supplying manufacturers of multi-axis machines and systems with reliable, high-quality joysticks for decades.
The multidimensional SpaceMouse® Module allows you to control six axes intuitively and precisely with a single hand. Its enormous flexibility makes it ideal for both robot-based surgical procedures and operating inspection systems for pipe networks. On industrial robots, however, the SpaceMouse® Module is used for programming.
All it takes is a thumb press
The TRY20 is also ideal for multi-axis applications. Thanks to its low profile of just 21 mm, the joystick can be easily integrated into multi-axis setups via a panel and controlled conveniently with the thumb. Meanwhile, the rotatable knob enables intuitive finger operation of the Z-axis. Thus, the TRY20 combines the advantages of thumb and finger joysticks in a single control unit. Contactless Hall sensor technology guarantees very high signal quality for precise navigation.
The TRY20 is also available as a finger joystick (TRY21): in the centre position, the knob protrudes only 41 mm above the panel. This makes the TRY21 the lowest-profile three-axis finger joystick on the market.
Extremely durable
The miniature, heavy-duty 844 joystick is ideal for use in industrial or harsh environments. This finger joystick offers maximum robustness with a minimum installation depth of less than 20 mm. Its omnidirectional metal mechanism features a ball-and-socket joint that dissipates shaft forces. This design is highly resistant to vertical impacts of up to 400 N, a property usually only found in large heavy-duty joysticks. Thanks to its internal magnetic shielding, the joystick also boasts high ESD and EMC resistance.
Optimal adaptation to the application
The TRY100 finger joystick has been specially developed for precise operation of multi-axis applications with a low operating force. Thanks to its optional USB interface, the joystick can be easily integrated into applications. Analogue interfaces are also available, optionally with input voltage converters and redundant interfaces. MEGATRON can adapt joysticks to the respective application, even for small quantities, e.g. by providing different knobs or plugs.
