Curve Viewer Module for CoMo-MIS for Efficient Analysis of Stored Process Data

The CoMo Manufacturing Information System (CoMo-MIS Type 2829A…) is the database from Kistler for archiving and documenting injection molding process data. The new Curve Viewer module loads and visualizes stored process curves. This makes it easier to optimize injection molding processes and boost product quality.

As an important tool for process and production data documentation for quality assurance purposes, CoMo-MIS acquires all of the data from the CoMo Injection process monitoring and control systems Type 2869B… from Kistler used in molding production. With the new Curve Viewer module all of the curves of the cavity pressure and the contact temperature can now be individually displayed or superimposed.

The interface of the new Curve Viewer module corresponds exactly to that of the new generation of CoMo Injection units Type 2869B… and is also based on browser technology. There is no need to install PC pro-grams, as the Curve Viewer only uses standard software such as a web browser and JavaTM. In this respect Kistler is continuing along its consistent path of developing systems on the basis of futureproof technologies and freely available standard components. The user therefore saves on installation costs and is able to work with a control concept that has been standardized across all Kistler systems to minimize familiarization time and ensure greater ease of use.

Just like the statistical tool, the Curve Viewer will be an integral part of CoMo-MIS. CoMo-MIS systems that have already been installed can be updated with the new version of the software. The Curve Viewer module also incorporates a tool for exporting data to other programs. All of the familiar functions, such as the defini-tive display of all production orders and batches with their status and reject rates, and easy access to all of the CoMo Injection units installed in production, are retained in the new version of CoMo-MIS.
