Bus-Enabled Setpoint Display AP24

Bus-Enabled Setpoint Display AP24

SIKO GmbH: In order to optimise format changes in mechanical engineering, the concept of monitored, semi-automatic format resetting has become increasingly more widespread over the last few years. With its electronic position displays AP04 for spindle positioning and AP04S for slide units, SIKO GmbH is offering products that have already been proved and tested in practice.

The new remote display AP24 is now expanding the function scope by offering a facility for also displaying setpoint values for format parts and tool changes directly at the relevant part of the machinery. Once the respective component has been exchanged, the machine setter confirms the correct modification using the acknowledgment key directly on the unit.

In conjunction with positioning displays AP04 and AP04S, this provides all the adjusting elements, which need to be repositioned in connection with a product or format change, integrated within one system that monitors the correct execution of the format change process. For all these machine elements the setpoint can be checked right next to the relevant part of the machinery and can be transmitted back to the machine control system by means of status data after the positioning. This reduces setting-up times, avoids rejects and increases the productivity of the machine.
