Pressure sensors with digital or analogue interface

Pressure sensors with digital or analogue interface

22 January 2013

PEWATRON was quick to recognise the changing times and has extended its wide range of pressure sensors by adding a large selection of digital interface sensors. Most in demand are sensors with the I2C interface. These sensors can be operated using a supply voltage in the range 2.7…5.5 VDC. The resolution is 12 bit. Measuring ranges from 0…10 mbar up to 0…10 bar in relative, differential or absolute pressure are available. To meet the various requirements, PEWATRON offers numerous different housing designs at attractive prices.

Analogue output signals are still popular and will certainly remain so for a long time to come. For this reason, the sensors with analogue signals of 0.5…4.5 VDC and 0.2…4.7 VDC will continue to be available. One advantage of these sensors is that, besides the standard voltage from 2.7..3.3 VDC, it is also possible to use a supply voltage from 4.5...5.5 VDC, and here the output signal is ratiometric, proportional to the applied voltage.
