New User Interface for CoMo MIS

New User Interface for CoMo MIS

19 September 2009

Kistler: Analysis of injection molding with the aid of cutting-edge systems sheds light on the effect of various process parameters. The results of such evaluations unleash the potential for optimizing part quality, process control and cost-effectiveness. CoMo MIS Type 2829A..., the database- and web-based system from Kistler, has become the established means of storing, visualizing and analyzing injection molding process data. This system now offers a new user interface. It is clearly laid out, logically structured, intuitive to use and similar in design to the interface of the CoMo Injection process monitoring and control system Type 2869B3….

Numerous CoMo MIS cursor functions take the effort out of process analysis. Pressure curves can be imported and exported to allow comparison of the current process with, for example, processes on other machines or sites, and importation of data from simulation programs, etc. In addition to production data of current processes, a browser can be used to access and retrieve from the database information about completed orders and batches for inclusion in analyses and comparisons.

In practice all of the CoMo Injections installed on a particular site are connected to a single CoMo MIS. They then transfer the relevant process information to the database system via Ethernet. CoMo MIS can access the centrally stored data from any company PC with a web browser, and provide detailed evaluation of process curves or comprehensive statistical analysis. Export functions allow exportation of process data to other software packages such as statistics programs.

Kistler Group

Kistler’s core competence is the development, production and use of sensors for measuring pressure, force, torque and acceleration. Kistler’s know-how and electronic systems can be used to prepare measuring signals for use in analyzing physical processes, controlling and optimizing industrial processes, improving product quality in manufacturing and improving performance in sports and rehabilitation.

Kistler offers a comprehensive range of sensors and systems for engine development, automotive engineering, plastics and metal processing, installation technology and biomechanics.

A worldwide sales presence in the form of 25 group companies and 30 distributors ensures customer proximity, application support on an individual level and short lead times.

With a staff of about 1 000, the Kistler Group is one of the world’s leading providers of dynamic measuring instrumentation. The Kistler Group achieved turnover of 215 million Swiss Francs in the 2008 financial year.
