More Options for CoMo® Injection – More Languages for CoMo-MIS

20 August 2007

Kistler: The CoMo Injection process monitoring system Type 2869A… allows zero-defect injection molding production by analyzing the cavity pressure curve. In response to the heavy worldwide demand, new Version 1.2 of the CoMo Injection is now available with French and Japanese as operating languages in addition to Ger-man and English. Further languages will be introduced at K 2007 Trade Fair. A new, brighter 12.1" color touch screen monitor Type 5629A3 makes operation of the CoMo Injection system even quicker and easier, and accelerates communication with the system. The new IP Setup Program now being supplied with the system allows simple automatic detection and configuration of CoMo Injection units installed in production.

Version 2.0 of CoMo-MIS Type 2829A…, the database system for storing measured and calculated process data, is now also available in the four languages mentioned above.

All of the CoMo Injection and CoMo-MIS systems that have already been installed can be updated with the latest version. The IP Setup Program works with all CoMo Injection units equipped with Version 1.2.

Kistler at K 2007

Kistler will present its portfolio of products on Stand 10F04 in Hall 10 at K 2007 (In-ternational Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber), which is to be held in Düsseldorf from 24 to 31 October 2007.

Background – Cavity Pressure Curve

The cavity pressure curve acts as a "fingerprint" of the injection molding process. It is the most significant variable in evaluating the quality of the molding.

As the supplier with the largest and widest range of sensors for all methods of in-jection molding, simple connection technology and user-friendly, networkable systems, Kistler is the only manufacturer to offer holistic monitoring of injection molding from a single source. The company is the world's leading manufacturer of pressure and temperature sensors for use in the plastics processing industry.
