KELLER AG: 1.5 billion people around the globe have no access to clean water. Managing water as a resource is therefore the challenge of the 21st century.

A significant part of the world’s water resources is located underground. Large areas are surveyed using pressure sensors to monitor changes in the water level in relation to usage as well as rainfall. These sensors are inserted in wells up to 200 m in depth.

The major share of the cost of a measuring point is caused by the drilling operation and the pipe inserted into the earth. Until now, pipes with an inner diameter of 1 inch (2,54 cm) were mainly used, required by 22 mm diameter sensors. KELLER’s new DCX-16 features a Ø 16 mm diameter without compromising exactness, enabling much lower per-point installation cost
