Leuze electronic: In situations where hand and arm protection requires high accessibility or if stepping behind protection is needed, cascaded Safety Light Curtains are the first choice, for example, at hydraulic press brakes, assembly workstations or engine test benches.

Leuze electronic fulfills the most common shape requirements of various applications with a number of different cascades (90° U-shape, 90°/45° L-shape). These are tested as complete units and are then folded together and delivered as a compact package. The units have the same resolutions in all forks, have high impermeability throughout, and have passed a complete EMC test.

The devices, which are permanently attached to one another, do more than just expand the protective function of an individual transmitter-receiver device pair through the combination with another protected field (L-shape) or other protected fields (U-shape). They also simplify the safety calculation for the device versions with 40 mm resolution, since here the beam spacing in the angles is smaller than the resolution of the sensor itself. The amount of work required for mounting and wiring is reduced considerably with cascaded devices.
