The B + B pressure transmitters take off - use in aircraft

13 August 2020

The application area of the B + B pressure transmitter is very versatile. They range from filling systems to lubrication systems in underground trains / trams to the restoration of old fighter planes.

Our project partner Stock Flight Systems deals with data recording in aviation of various types and sizes of aircraft. The B + B pressure transmitters in particular are used here to measure the oil and boost pressure and to monitor the delivery pressure of the fuel pump on the 12-cylinder engine of the Messerschmitt Bf109. The Messerschmitt Bf109 was built from 1936 to 1945 by the aircraft manufacturer Bayrische Flugzeugwerke AG / Messerschmitt AG and is considered the most-built fighter in history. It was used in the German Air Force as a fighter-bomber, night fighter and reconnaissance aircraft.

Several B + B pressure transmitters are usually installed in an aircraft, which, among other things, serve to record and monitor the pressure after the fuel pump. In this way, the transmitters help ensure that the aircraft receive approval as a “historical one-off”, because the flight performance and flight characteristics must be proven again with the help of data acquisition.

Our pressure transmitters are flexible, precise and can be used individually. Here we offer high quality and highly accurate pressure measurements, Made in Germany! The requirements are different depending on the application. We adapt to the customer's application and implement customer-specific and tailor-made solutions.
