Pressure Transducers and Transmitters for General Purpose and Hazardous Industrial Environments

Pressure Transducers and Transmitters for General Purpose and Hazardous Industrial Environments

05 August 2007

August 3, 2007, Depew, NY, USA - Series 1500 Transducers and Transmitters from PCB Piezotronics (PCB®) offer a complete selection for pressure monitoring in general purpose and hazardous industrial environments.

General purpose units feature a rugged, all-welded stainless steel construction. The design includes elimination of mechanical fasteners, washers, o-rings, and fluid fills, greatly enhancing reliability and long-term repeatability of the units, and making them suitable for a variety of laboratory, factory, field, or submersible environments. Full scale ranges are available, from full vacuum to 6000 psi (400 bar), with accuracies of 0.5%, 0.25%, and 0.1%. Units are supplied with 0-5 VDC; 0-10 VDC; or loop-powered 4-20 mA output signals, with choice of pressure port and electrical connectors.

Intrinsically safe Series 1500 units feature a thin, one-piece stainless steel Monolith pressure fitting, port and diaphragm design with ½” NPT thread, with optional Inconel® for H2S & sour gas media compatibility. Sensors are constructed without adhesives, welds, or fluid fillings, and have been certified under ATEX and CSA as intrinsically safe for use in hazardous environments. Transmitters offering intrinsically safe certifications are widely used on pumps, natural gas compressors, power generation equipment, and other machinery operating in hazardous environments. Full scale ranges are available from 500 to 10k psi (35 to 690 bar) and temperatures up to +250 °F (+121 °C), with 4-20 mA output.
