State-of-the-art draw-wire displacement sensors for industrial applications

State-of-the-art draw-wire displacement sensors for industrial applications

08 February 2021

wireSENSOR WPS-K100 draw-wire sensors measure displacements and distances in industrial environments. The two new models offer measuring ranges of 1500 and 2500 mm. Their robust design combined with an excellent price/performance ratio means they are ideally suited to OEM and series applications.

Micro-Epsilon is known for its innovative and precise displacement sensors. These include the well-established wireSENSOR draw-wire sensors which are available in many sizes, designs and variants.

Specially designed for industrial purposes, Micro-Epsilon has launched two new wireSENSOR WPS-K100 draw-wire displacement sensors with measuring ranges of 1500 mm and 2500 mm. This sensor series is suitable for precise distance and position measurements and primarily for measurement tasks in mobile machines, mobile cranes and lifting technology.

The sensor is protected from external influences by a glass fiber-reinforced plastic housing with separate drum and spring spaces. Therefore, the sensors can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications.

For OEM and serial applications, the sensors can be easily and efficiently adapted to the respective measurement task, in terms of their measuring range, wire thickness and different signal outputs.
