MAZeT will present JENCOLOR solutions for the light control and regulation of LED systems

26 March 2014

Jena, 19th March 2014 – The International trade show light+building in Frankfurt will open its doors from this Sunday, March 30, to Friday, April 4. You are invited to visit MAZeT exhibiting JENCOLOR solutions for the light control and regulation of LED systems at Stand F17 in Hall 4.0.

LED age via temperature and time. The temperature drifts happen very frequently and occur even by slight differences. At 10°C for example the visual effects can be seen. The color shift based on age can occur strongly in the first 1000 operating hours and lasts till the end of life of LEDs. Since the brightness and color varies from each LED brand and binning the shift can be an increase and even a decrease of color and brightness output. When using mixed LEDs like RGBW for example the effects can be very drastic when it comes to mixing the right color or CCT. Especially, when using multiple LED fixtures that should maintain the exact same lighting.

The solution, with advantages for applications with high demands for color point fidelity, is to use RGB or RGBWx LEDs controlled using color sensors. Such sensors, used in conjunction with JENCOLOR technology from MAZeT, are particularly well suited to the LED lighting market. They are based on CIE1931 XYZ filters (comparable with the human eye) and do not demonstrate any detectable aging or temperature drift. These sensors control the lighting by responding to the output of the LED system. Thus they measure the output of the individual LEDs in XYZ and precisely regulate them by Lu’v’ in accordance with the set color or color temperature, entirely independently of pre-selection, aging, temperature or other interfering variables such as mechanical variations in the units.
