Color Recognition - at up to 100 measuring stations at once

Color Recognition - at up to 100 measuring stations at once

30 December 2009

Uhingen. Eltrotec presents the second generation of its “colorCONTROL MFA”, specially developed for color recognition and inspection of color LEDs and selfluminous systems at multiple stations. Using external lighting, such as LEDCONTROL 160 – 12 MLux illumination, the system is now also capable of classifying colored carpets, veneers, medical capsules, detecting correct filling in colored liquids, color sequences etc. simultaneously at multiple stations. Three versions with 20, 55 and 100 test stations are available, using fibre optic technology to recognize the light. The systems test for color, function and intensity in RGB or HSI color spectrum. It can classify self-luminous systems ranging from 200 to 4000 Lux, with a color resolution of ΔE ≈ 1 being available. Detection evaluation rates of approx. 32 tests/s can be achieved simultaneously at up to 100 measurement points parallel. All measured data are stored in a Flash-EEPROM. Therefore the user has the possibility to integrate his test routines in his test procedure in 8 steps using the Windows XP based MFA color test software. The housing measures 95 x 87 x 230 mm3 and can easily be integrated into any testing system. The illumination from the LEDs will be taken by plastic fibre optics, fixed on an array which transforms them to an optic system. Communication with PC or testing system will be done directly by Ethernet. LED displays in washing machines, automobiles, trains, planes, medical devices, controller panels as well as in sensors or agricultural machinery can be economically controlled by this system.
