New Balluff miniature

Balluff miniature optical sensors from the BOS Q08M series have an impressively compact design and achieve extreme precision in a robust, cubic metal housing. They are suitable for all applications requiring components with a low weight, minimal space requirements and maximum switching precision, e.g. on robot gripper arms and mini grippers. A laser retroreflective sensor is the latest addition to this range of mini optical products.

The laser retroreflective sensor from laser class 1 can reliably detect parts as small as 0.3 mm at a switching frequency of 400 Hz and is therefore the right choice for even the most demanding positioning tasks. The sensor with sharply focused laser beam and a maximum working range of one meter is also the perfect solution for detecting machine components positioned among groups of tightly packed parts in restricted spaces.

The laser retroreflective sensor operates as a normally open or nor-mally closed contact and is optionally available with NPN or PNP output in a cable or pigtail variant. The sensor is connected via a three-pin M8 plug.

There is also a patented matching clamp holder for rapidly positioning 8 x 8 sensors flush in aluminum profiles. Compatible with both Item and Bosch profiles, the holder is inserted directly in the groove from above and secured by turning a screw. The holder is seated absolute-ly securely and is suitable for a range of applications previously re-served for through-beam fork sensors because suitable intermediate sizes were not available.
