Flexible, robust, precise: New incremental encoder family

Baumer presents „OptoPulse EIL580“, a flexible and efficient platform of incremental encoders in 58 mm size.

These encoders are available in various mechanical designs – with clamping or synchro flange and with blind respectively through hollow shaft from 8 to 15mm in diameter. Finely graduated increments enable 100 to 5000 impulses per turn. Particularly conceived for high-precision requirements, the optical sensing technique will ensure absolute accuracy and consistently high signal quality throughout temperatures from -40 °C to +85 °C. OptoPulse EIL580 encoders will substantially enhance your application’s productivity and level of control.

Product diversity merges with extreme robustness – from the solid die-cast housing with massive 1.5 mm aluminium walls - optionally with IP 67 protection - to short-circuit proof connection technology protected against reverse polarity. The unique ShaftLock bearing feature prevents the bearing pack from any misalignment and thus the code disc from damage by excessive shaft load. Excellent shock and vibration properties of 300 respectively 30 g add another plus on reliability and precision.

M12 or M23 connectors and cable outlets with varied lengths provide utmost connection flexibility. Thanks to the comprehensive range of mounting accessories like stator and shaft couplings, torque support and peripheral equipment like measuring wheels installation will be quick and easy.
