Long-term stable sensor technology and robust design for harsh environments

Bubikon, June 2012 – The Swiss Corporation Trafag presents its new, robust and compact electronic pressure switch EPN-S which offers reliable and accurate pressure control over a wide temperature range. The electronic pressure switch is suitable for demanding applications such as marine and rail industries. Its excellent long-term stability is based on the leading thin-film-on-steel sensor technology. The switching point can be preset or programmed by the customer using the Trafag sensor communicator SC.

The unveiling of the new EPN-S electronic pressure switch. It’s based on the proven EPN line with measuring ranges from 0...2.5 to 0...600 bar. A wide media temperature range from -40° to 125° C, high vibration resistance, very compact design and extremely long-term stable thin-film-on-steel sensor technology are features of the new EPN-S electronic pressure transmitter which set it above standard models. In addition to the attractive price-performance ratio and modular design, the EMC protection of 61000 IEC and the Trafag sensor communicator’s programmable switching point are other features that put the EPN-S electronic pressure switch in first place for demanding applications in engine, marine and mechanical engineering, railway engineering, hydraulics and HVAC.
