Low power consuming CO2-sensor

Low power consuming CO2-sensor

02 February 2012

SenseAir® presents the CO2 Engine® K33 LP, a new high-performance CO2-sensor which consumes a minimum amount of energy. The sensor is based on modern infrared technology (NDIR) and is designed for easy integration with other products.

The adjustable measurement interval results in extremely low power consumption. For hourly measurement of CO2 the average power consumption is as low as 52μA.

CO2 Engine ® K33 LP is designed for high-volume production and has full traceability via serial numbers in all manufacturing processes and on key components. Every sensor is indivdually calibrated and is provided with UART/I2C digital interface. The Sensor is maintenance-free and has an expected lifespan of more than fifteen years.

CO2 Engine ® K33 LP can be used in a number of different applications where low energy consumption is important and good performance is also a prority. The product is optimized for control and monitoring of indoor climate and can also be used in battery-driven systems.
