Low Power NDIR CO2 sensor

Low Power NDIR CO2 sensor

02 May 2012

SenseAir® presents a new miniature low power NDIR CO2 sensor module, SenseAir®S8 4B. The sensor can be integrated into a wide range of alarm applications where CO2 detection is required, such as CO2 leakage detection.

The primary application area for SenseAir® S8 4B is a CO2 safety switch built into equipment such as heaters and other equipment, which generate potential hazardous levels of CO2 gas.

Thanks to the product’s low current consumption, the sensor is suitable for battery applications and has an average current consumption of only 2 mA. The SenseAir® S8 4B measures 400 to 32000 ppm and signals the alarm when the CO2 level is higher than the alarm set-point.

The sensor is designed for high volume production with full traceability through serial number tracking associated with all manufacturing processes and key components. All sensors are individually calibrated.
