High Intensity Acoustic Sensor Ideal for Gas Turbine Combustion Dynamic Studies

07 December 2008

Dytran Instruments, Inc.: The Dytran pressure sensor model 2180C is a high intensity acoustic sensor that is ideal for measurements involving gas turbine combustor dynamics. It features a top TNC electrical connector, a 1-1/8-12 mounting thread and a stainless steel diaphragm. The 2180C has a charge sensitivity of 700 pC/psi and a range of 10 psi (191 dB). This all-welded stainless steel sensor can monitor pulsations, turbulence, a noise in hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as detect pressure fluctuations in exhaust systems, compressors, turbines, and pumps and pipelines.
